Mootown Creamery: Creamy, frozen confections straight from the source
Nothing is better than a big cup or cone of your favorite flavor of sweet, creamy ice cream in the summertime. Better yet, why not make it year round? After all, who doesn't love the frozen favorite?
At MooTown Creamery in Berea, the ice cream is never in short supply-- and neither are friendly faces. From the very moment you walk into this popular west side ice cream shop you'll find it hard to frown. Go ahead-- try! I'll betcha' don't last more than a minute.
The smell of freshly-baked waffle cones is sure to nudge your nose in the right direction-- to the back of the store, that is. After all, that's where you'll order up your favorite ice cream flavors mixed with goodies like candy, nuts, cookies, cake bits or even fruit.
The ice cream at MooTown is decadently creamy and thick. You'll certainly notice a difference between MooTown ice cream, which is made in-house, and the ice cream at most chain shops. A little goes a long way-- the flavor is simply explosive. Flavors include sweet cream, vanilla, mint, orange, chocolate, peanut butter, cake batter, coffee and strawberry, among others. Each day patrons can choose from 16 flavors of rich, creamy goodness.
Once you've chosen your favorite flavor, you can choose your mix-ins. Items like Butterfinger, Snickers, Milky Way, Three Musketeers and Reese's Peanut Butter Cup candy bars, pistachios, peanuts, walnuts, cashews, gummy bears, Skittles, M&Ms, chocolate chips, cookie dough chunks, Oreos and Chips Ahoy cookies. Choose one or choose ten-- it's completely up to you.
If you'd like, you can also add chocolate, strawberry, caramel, marshmallow, pineapple or peanut butter sauce on top of your creation. Can you say yummy?
If you're not quite sure which flavor to choose with which mix-in with which sauce topping, don't fret-- simply order one of MooTown's own menu creations. The S'Mores creation features vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, graham cracker pieces and marshmallow sauce. It's a frozen campfire favorite!

In addition to ice cream, MooTown also sells hot dogs and nachos. What could be better than a summer supper of a hot dog, cheesy nachos and your favorite MooTown ice cream for dessert?

While you're there, ask for a coloring page at the front counter if you have little ones. MooTown will proudly display your child's art on their art wall. Kids love it!
